We are getting married in August on a private cruise boat on a lake. We don't want to do a unity candle because of wind. We've thought about pouring sand, but my fiance's sister just did that a week ago at her wedding. We're on a boat so we could maybe throw something overboard. I just need a fresh idea that shows our unity. Thanks in advance!

I am looking for ideas other then a unity candle. We want to have something with the same sybolism, but we do not like the candle idea. So far, two colors of sand is our winning option, but I would really like to find other options as well... any ideas?

I am planning on having my wedding ceremony outside this summer. Due to the possibility of wind, lighting a unity candle is not a good idea. Has anyone done anything different or is doing something different that can be done outside?

We are having an outdoor ceremony, so I don't think that a unity candle lighting will work very well. I've heard about the sand ceremony, but that doesn't interest me, either. Any other suggestions?
